The Infrastructure Risk group is looking for a professional to support its Wealth Management Resiliency Program. This program seeks to ensure that Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management business has a holistic, strategic plan in place that allows us to rapidly adapt to and maintain key business services during times of stress, disruption, or uncertainty.
A successful candidate will quickly become recognized as a go-to subject matter expert, contribute to projects and initiatives, develop and implement process improvements, and become a key point of contact for a wide range of interlocutors across risk, technology, and operations.
Document and map critical operational and business flows within Wealth Management with an eye toward identifying interconnected risks and implementing robust, adaptable plans and practices
Maintain sufficient understanding of the Firm’s resilience strategy to recognize opportunities for continuous improvement within Wealth Management
Stay up to date on relevant regulatory guidance for operational resilience and understand and cascade its application for the Wealth Management business
Develop materials for regular and ad-hoc meetings with Wealth Management resilience stakeholders, including working group and committee meetings
Prepare meeting minutes (key discussion topics, decisions, and action items) and track the status of action items following meetings
Bachelor’s or advanced degree
5+ years of relevant experience in an operations or risk-related function at a financial services institution
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with experience assessing risk and identifying mitigating controls
Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships and a proactive, positive, and self-motivated approach to tackling key initiatives
Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience delivering verbal and written updates to senior stakeholders
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple work streams amid evolving regulatory and business demands and develop execution-oriented plans and timetables
Expertise in all MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to pivot data and summarize results
